Wow! This will be an absolutely AMAZING way to pay tribute to their beginnings!

In honor of the 20 anniversary of the release of their first album, alternative rock band Pearl Jam is reportedly in talks to stage a two-day musical festival in "the middle of America," and featuring a variety of other acts!

Their manager, Kelly Curtis, reveals that the band will headline both nights, and will take place sometime in late summer, when Cameron Crowe's documentary chronicling their career is expected to drop.

Bassist Jeff Ament explains:

"We've played enough festivals that we know what makes them exciting. We want to give people places to go that aren't necessarily musical — second stages and all that kind of stuff. We're asking our friends if they want to play a couple of shows with us."

So cool! What a nice way to revisit the early '90s, and the music from that time!

We bet a lot of people are going to be VERY excited about this one!

Xtina Gets A Star Spangled Gig!

According to multiple sources, Christina Aguilera will sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLV.
Hopefully this will help ease the pain that might still be lingering from all the Razzie Awards which Xtina's Burlesque is likely to win.
Should be inneresting to see how Ms. Aguilera's performance compares to Carrie Underwood's from last year.

Umm…we WERE intrigued by this when it seemed like it was real.

Last week, we reported that Discovery Channel was partnering with The Vatican for The Exorcist Files, a show which would recreate documented stories of real-life hauntings and demonic possession, based on cases found in the Vatican’s exclusive case files.

The Vatican doesn't seem to be on the same page as Discovery though. Here's what Monsignor Paul Tighe had to say about it:

"They (Discovery) may have had contact with some individual, but we've had no contact with Discovery here."

Vatican officials have said that the Church has "no official involvement with the series," and that the Vatican "does not even have a group of exorcists."

Here's what a rep from Discovery had to say in response:

“[We are] working with Catholic priests at parishes all over the world for the show and look forward to telling their stories.”

So, no more Vatican AT ALL? What's the deal, Discovery?

Despite some very talented individuals receiving well-deserved nominations this year for Academy Awards, ZERO people of color were recognized in any of the major categories - including acting, writing, and directing!

Such a shame!

We sincerely hope that filmmakers keep this in mind during upcoming projects this year, because this should have never happened, and there will be no excuse if it happens again next year.

Wow. Such a crazy, wonderful story.

On Aug. 4, 1987, new parents Joy White and Carl Tyson were struck by tragedy as someone had just kidnapped their 19 day old daughter from Harlem Hospital. The NYPD were unable to come up with any leads and thus, they thought their child was gone forever.

Fast forward to 23 and a half years later, when their daughter, Carlina White, tracked them down after she learned the awful truth for herself! She was alive and well and eager to meet the family she never got the chance to know.

It turns out that Carlina's kidnapper dressed herself as a nurse and snatched Carlina right from. Cassandra Pettway, who may or may not have been the kidnapper, took her to Bridgeport, Conn., and for many years, told the girl nothing. Around her 16th birthday, Cassandra was forced to admit to Carlina that she wasn't her daughter and thus the hunt was on for her to fine her biological parents.

With the help of the internet and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Carlina was given found three possible matches, and then DNA tests confirmed she was indeed the baby abducted in 1987.

But as her mother told sources, the DNA wasn't necessary. "As soon as I saw those pictures, I said, 'That's my daughter,' " Joy said. "I saw myself in her."

When asked about the reunion, Carlina told sources:

"I'm overwhelmed. I'm just happy. It's like a movie; it's all brand new to me."

But we're sure it's going to be great. What an amazing thing to happen after so much time. Inspiring!

He was convicted of indecent liberties with a minor in 1984 and 1996.
