Wow! This will be an absolutely AMAZING way to pay tribute to their beginnings!

In honor of the 20 anniversary of the release of their first album, alternative rock band Pearl Jam is reportedly in talks to stage a two-day musical festival in "the middle of America," and featuring a variety of other acts!

Their manager, Kelly Curtis, reveals that the band will headline both nights, and will take place sometime in late summer, when Cameron Crowe's documentary chronicling their career is expected to drop.

Bassist Jeff Ament explains:

"We've played enough festivals that we know what makes them exciting. We want to give people places to go that aren't necessarily musical — second stages and all that kind of stuff. We're asking our friends if they want to play a couple of shows with us."

So cool! What a nice way to revisit the early '90s, and the music from that time!

We bet a lot of people are going to be VERY excited about this one!

Umm…we WERE intrigued by this when it seemed like it was real.

Last week, we reported that Discovery Channel was partnering with The Vatican for The Exorcist Files, a show which would recreate documented stories of real-life hauntings and demonic possession, based on cases found in the Vatican’s exclusive case files.

The Vatican doesn't seem to be on the same page as Discovery though. Here's what Monsignor Paul Tighe had to say about it:

"They (Discovery) may have had contact with some individual, but we've had no contact with Discovery here."

Vatican officials have said that the Church has "no official involvement with the series," and that the Vatican "does not even have a group of exorcists."

Here's what a rep from Discovery had to say in response:

“[We are] working with Catholic priests at parishes all over the world for the show and look forward to telling their stories.”

So, no more Vatican AT ALL? What's the deal, Discovery?

Such a shame!

We sincerely hope that filmmakers keep this in mind during upcoming projects this year, because this should have never happened, and there will be no excuse if it happens again next year.

Wow. Such a crazy, wonderful story.

On Aug. 4, 1987, new parents Joy White and Carl Tyson were struck by tragedy as someone had just kidnapped their 19 day old daughter from Harlem Hospital. The NYPD were unable to come up with any leads and thus, they thought their child was gone forever.

Fast forward to 23 and a half years later, when their daughter, Carlina White, tracked them down after she learned the awful truth for herself! She was alive and well and eager to meet the family she never got the chance to know.

It turns out that Carlina's kidnapper dressed herself as a nurse and snatched Carlina right from. Cassandra Pettway, who may or may not have been the kidnapper, took her to Bridgeport, Conn., and for many years, told the girl nothing. Around her 16th birthday, Cassandra was forced to admit to Carlina that she wasn't her daughter and thus the hunt was on for her to fine her biological parents.

With the help of the internet and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Carlina was given found three possible matches, and then DNA tests confirmed she was indeed the baby abducted in 1987.

But as her mother told sources, the DNA wasn't necessary. "As soon as I saw those pictures, I said, 'That's my daughter,' " Joy said. "I saw myself in her."

When asked about the reunion, Carlina told sources:

"I'm overwhelmed. I'm just happy. It's like a movie; it's all brand new to me."

But we're sure it's going to be great. What an amazing thing to happen after so much time. Inspiring!

Actor Robert De Niro is a dad again at age 68. Yep he and his wife announced they have welcomed a baby girl. Via a surrogate, Robert De Niro and wife actress/singer Grace Hightower 56 years old, are now the proud parents of a baby girl, Helen Grace Hightower. Their new daughter joins big brother Eliot who is 13 years old. The little girl is apparently doing just fine. She weighed in at a healthy 7 pounds and 2 ounces. Robert and Grace have been married since 1997, however they separated in 1999 but their divorce was never finalized. In 2004 the couple renewed their vows and have been happily married since then. Madonna sat down to chat with Anderson Cooper this week for a special 1-hour episode of his daytime talk show Anderson but we won’t get to see the ep until February of next year. Maddy‘s interview is meant to hype the February release of her directorial debut film W.E. so I guess Anderson thought it best to sit on the interview for the next couple of months. BUT … today at least we get to check out a short preview clip from Madonna‘s interview … check it out below.

Madonna sat down for a one-hour interview with Anderson today, discussing her new film “W.E.,” her upcoming performance at the Super Bowl, and in this show preview, the superstar shares her exclusive reaction to the film’s two Golden Globe nominations for Original Song and Original Score. “I am so proud of Abel Korzeniowski, who did the score of my film. It was a great way to wake up this morning,” Madonna tells Anderson. The “Anderson” episode will air in February 2012.

Oh man … she looks great, she sounds great … I cannot wait to see this interview in full. I’m just so excited that we are on the verge of a new era of Madonna music … 2012 is going to be a great year for Madge fans. While most identify 1964's "California Sun" with the Rivieras (from sun-drenched South Bend, Indiana), the song originated with New Orleans R&B singer Joe Jones, who is known for his Top Ten hit, "You Talk Too Much." Jones recorded "California Sun" in an R&B style backed by a horn section but met little success. The Rivieras replaced Jones' horn section with a guitar and organ trading riffs and reached #5 with the track. "California Sun" was covered in 1977 by punk rock pioneers the Ramones, who added distortion and amped up the speed of the Rivieras' track.
